STUDY OF URBAN AIR POLLUTION IN STREET CANYONS USING LATTICE BOLTZMANN METHOD WITH ATMOSPHERIC BOUNDARY LAYER MODELS
Аннотация
In this study, lattice Boltzmann method is developed to simulate air flow, pollutants dispersion and thermal
stratification effect in urban street canyon. Large eddy simulation (LES) based on Smagorinsky eddy-viscosity model and implicit model is employed to investigate subgrid-scale turbulent motion in the flow field, pollutant dispersion and heat transfer characteristics inside urban street canyons. The atmospheric boundary wall models are implemented near rigid walls to mitigate the demanding near-wall resolution requirements in LES. The mean values of velocity, temperature and pollutant concentration as well as their root mean square fluctuations in a typical urban street domain are presented and compared with experiment data. An evaluation of the LES
results with wind tunnel measurements reveals good agreement for both mean and turbulence parameters of the flow and scalar fields. It has been observed that the present simulation can well predict the unsteady and intermittent fluctuations of the flow field, temperature field and pollutant transport within the urban street scale.
