COMBUSTION QUALITY INDICES OF HYDROGEN AND OTHER FUELS
Аннотация
In two preceding articles, [1], [2], the Authors have taken up again the controversial question of solar hydrogen as a fuel.
In the present paper the significance and evaluation of some quality indices are more closely examined: these were defined by AA. for hydrogen and other conventional fuels. Aiming at an even deeper insight on the ecological evaluation, AA. have finally conceived a different thermodynamic index that should quantify the environmental entropy impact of the respective combustion reactions.
The comparison among four fuels (hydrogen, coal, methane and gasoline) seems to set hydrogen in a rather favourable overall quality position.
