INFRARED ABSORPTION OF CARBON MONOXIDE AT HIGH TEMPERATURES
Аннотация
Spectral absorptivity distributions in the fundamental band of carbon monoxide were determined over the temperature range from 1200 to 2700 °K and for optical densities from 9.35 to 118 atm cm. Measurements were made of the absorption by a heated test cell of CO through which the temperature varied symmetrically from 400 to 1000 °K at the ends and from 1200 to 2700 °K at the center. Distributions of the Elsasser spectral parameter were evaluated from the data for an isothermal gas at temperatures up to 2700 °K. These curves can be used to calculate the spectral absorption along any nonisothermal path in CO if the temperature distribution is known.
