要約

The absorption heating transformer offers a means for using low temperature thermal resources to provide higher temperatures while requiring only a minimum of high quality energy, electricity for example. Since the process uses the temperature difference between the source and the environment and this can be relatively small, the economics of the process are expected to be sensitive to heat exchanger approach temperature differences.
This paper presents the results of a parametric study relating the source temperature, load temperature, environment temperature, and heat exchanger approach temperature differences to the performance of the process. The equations used to model the process are presented followed by graphic presentations showing the effects of increasing approach temperatures.
