NEW CONCEPTS ON HEAT TRANSFER PROCESSES IN HIGH TEMPERATURE FURNACES Oxygen influence in the case of natural gas flames
Résumé
The authors show the results of trials concerning three different aspects of heat transfer in furnaces. These results permitted: to define a method to separate the part due to the walls from that due to the flame in radiative heat transfers; to establish a relation permitting to obtain the emissivity and flame temperatures giving the highest heat transfers; to have a diagram permitting to determine the heat transfers obtained with oxygen-natural gas flames and to compare them with those of aero-gas flames.
