CURVATURE EFFECTS ON HEAT TRANSFER NEAR A FORWARD STAGNATION POINT
Résumé
A study is made to determine the effect of surface curvature on the local heat transfer and skin friction in the vicinity of a two-dimensional stagnation point. The set of partial differential equations describing this problem is transformed into a set of ordinary differential equations and similar solutions are found for the flow with various degrees of surface curvature. Results are compared with the corresponding results for stagnation point flow in which the effects of surface curvature are neglected. The conditions
under which the surface curvature has a significant influence on the flow are determined.
