HEAT TRANSFER CHARACTERISTICS OF HORIZONTAL SMOOTH TUBE IN HIGH PRESSURE REGION
Sinopsis
The heat transfer characteristics of 17.8 mm-ID, 180-degree upper half heated horizontal and 15-degree inclined tube simulating the bottom tube of the actual boiler furnace are presented. As for the horizontal tube, the enthalpy at the CHF point was found to be maximized around the pressure of 20 MPa. The CHF enthalpy increases prominently in the 15-degree inclined tube, and in addition the minimum point of the CHF enthalpy was found in the relatively low pressure region. The behavior of the inside wall temperature of the horizontal tube near the CHF point is fairly moderate as compared with the vertical tube and 360-degree heated horizontal tube. The heat transfer coefficient in the supercritical pressure can be predicted by the correlation of Iwabuchi et al.
