A THERMAL PHONON APPROACH TO THE BLACKSMITH PARADOX
Abstract
A temperature gradient in an isotropic solid gives a bending of the trajectories of phonons during their free path (mirage).
The author evaluates the consequences of this effect in the thermal conductivity, Fourier's law and paradoxal properties described by P. Vernotte and J. Jacq.
