THEORETICAL ANALYSIS OF THE USE OF MINIATURE FILM PROBES FOR THE DETERMINATION OF THE LOCAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE BOUNDARY LAYER
Abstract
A detailed analysis is given for the performance of miniature film probes measuring the local friction, heat and mass transfer at the smooth wall beneath the fluid flow. The numerical solution of finite difference equation of the problem is given which
describes the influence of wedge effects significant for miniature probes. The numerical data are approximated by simple calculation formulas.
