INTEGRAL METHODS FOR CHEMICALLY REACTING NONEQUILIBRIUM BOUNDARY LAYERS
Abstract
Integral equations derived from the partial differential equations for chemically reacting and laminar boundary layers are given. Existing integral methods of the Pohlhausen-type developed for special flow cases and special boundary conditions are discussed; the reaction considered in all methods is the dissociation-recombination reaction of oxygen or/and nitrogen. A new integral method for flows
with pressure gradients is presented, an example is included.
