NUMERICAL ANALYSIS OF IMPINGEMENT JET COOLING ON THE LEADING EDGE OF A TURBINE BLADE
摘要
A computational fluid dynamic analysis on the local heat transfer coefficients from an impinging jet cooling on a concave surface was carried out. The heat transfer geometry arrangement simulated the leading edge of a turbine blade cooling passage. The numerical study examined the flow pattern and local heat transfer distribution along the concave surface at a fixed Reynolds number of 8,450. The numerical results were
obtained by using two different turbulence models, SST k − ω and the Reynolds stress model(RSM). The
results compared well with experimental data for the similar flow parameter range. Detailed heat transfer patterns were obtained and results show that heat transfer prediction with RMS turbulence model has a better match with experimental results.
