FLOW BOILING CRISIS IN GROOVED BOILER-TUBES
摘要
A boiling crisis was experimentally investigated with a cross-rifled tube and a rifled tube, and the rusults were compared with those for a smooth tube and a B&W-type ribbed tube. The data were obtained for water at pressures of 167 to 206 bar flowing upward in vertical tubes having a nominal 10 mm I.D.
It was found that the cross-rifled tube as well as the B&W-type ribbed tube inhibited the occurrence of film boiling or improved the heat transfer in the film boiling region so that the overheating of the wall was effectively suppressed with these types of tube. The rifled tube was much less effective.
