TURBULENT FILM BOILING ON VERTICAL SURFACES A STUDY INCLUDING THE INFLUENCE OF INTERFACIAL WAVES
摘要
A theoretical model is proposed for turbulent film boiling incorporating the experimental facts that the interface moves in the direction of gas flow, it is "rough" and it experiences large scale low frequency oscillations due to the presence of waves which are of the order of the vapor film thickness in amplitude. Experimental measurements of instantaneous and time average rates of heat transfer show good agreement with the model.
