Аннотация

Two-phase flow distribution effects on the heat transfer performance inside heat exchanger and have crucial impact on the safety and economy of thermal equipment. The flute header is proven to be an effective means to improve the two-phase flow distribution experimentally. The experimental result shows that the flute header can improve the water and air flow distribution compared with the header without a flute. The computational fluid dynamic (CFD) simulation is conducted in order to investigate two-phase flow distribution behavior inside a flute header. Through numerical simulation, the air and water flow velocities are redistributed inside a flute header compared for the header without flute and two-phase flow pattern has great change inside header because of flute section. The air phase velocity has been improved inside flute section and water phase flow has more even flow distribution along annular section. It makes water phase sent to far end of flute header. That benefits two-phase flow distribution along 10 parallel channels equally. The air and water phase distributions are visualized through numerical simulation and two-phase flow behavior inside header with and without a flute is investigated.
