Аннотация

The enhancement of thermal conductivity of polymers has been attempted using various methodologies such as chain drawing, blending, and crosslinking. Especially, the effect of crosslinking on a thermal conductivity has been a controversial issue because crosslinking facilitates heat carriers to move through molecular chains or creates phonon-phonon scattering by additional modes. This paper shows the decrease by approximately 49% in the thermal conductivity of an electrospun poly(acrylic acid) (PAA) nanofiber after crosslinking which can be induced via a heat treatment. To understand the results, PAA nanofibers were analyzed with various characterization techniques including thermogravimetric analysis, Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy, and differential scanning calorimetry.
