Аннотация

The convective heat transfer of a Bingham plastic fluid in a sudden expansion circular pipe has been studied numerically. A four-step fractional method combined with an equal order bilinear finite element method (FEM) is used to solve the governing equations. The effects of the yield stress and Reynolds number on the hydrodynamic and heat transfer characteristics of the flow field are studied. Effects of the Prandtl number are also discussed.
