Аннотация

Numerical solutions have been obtained for the equations governing fluid flow and heat transfer in a model module of a perforated-plate heat exchanger with aligned perforations. The flow regime is characterized by Reynolds numbers based on hole diameter of order 10, Mach numbers up to 0.5, and Knudsen numbers up to 0.1. The results of a parametric study are presented, showing the effect of plate thickness, plate spacing, plate open-area ratio, Reynolds number, Knudsen number and temperature difference. The observed trends with the geometrical parameters allows a near optimal configuration to be chosen for experimental testing.
