Аннотация

Three dimensional periodic characteristics of fluid flow and heat transfer in a channel between the practical ice storage cooling vessels which include 11 baffles on it have been studied. The results obtained indicate that the friction coefficient decreases with the decrease of baffle width. Among many parameters such as the baffle spacing, the baffle height and the inflow pressure gradient, the widths of side baffle and middle baffle mainly exert influence on the cycle average Nusselt number of the heat transfer surfaces. It was observed that for the geometry of the ice storage cooling vessel for present investigation, the width of side baffle should be shortened in order to increase heat transfer rate.
