The paper reports on numerical computations of laminar and turbulent free convection in rectangular enclosures without- or with internal -total or partial- partitions at various Ra numbers and with mixed boundary conditions. A variant of low-Re-number k-ε model, modified as to account for bouyancy effects, was adopted for the computation of turbulent flow cases. The computed velocity- and temperature fields and heat transfer correlations for several cases of single- and double-zone cavities with "simple" and "mixed" boundary conditions showed good agreements with the available experimental data.
