BOILING HEAT TRANSFER AND BURNOUT HEAT FLUX OF ETHYL ALCOHOL - BENZINE MIXTURES

Measurement of heat transfer in the region of bubble boiling was performed with alcohol, benzene and mixture with 10, 20, 50, 80 and 90% wt. of benzene. The experiments covered the pressure range between 6-15 atm.
All data have been correlated with the Kutateladze correlation using physical parameters which correspond to ideal mixture. So that

Burnout heat flux was measured for the same mixture and for the pressure ranging from 6-20 atm. The data was correlated with the Zuber - Kutateladze correlation using physical parameters which correspond to ideal mixture.
The measurements have shown that the heat transfer coefficient and burnout heat flux depend on the concentration difference of liquid and vapor phase.
In the experiment the surface temperature was measured with a gas thermometer which shows certain advantages over the method used in similar experiments. This method for measurement of surface temperature was used also for burnout detection.
