Electrohydrodynamically enhanced and suppressed convective boiling heat transfer− theoretical predictions versus experimental data

Аннотация

In an annular two-phase flow, the presence of the electric field promotes instability by providing the electrohydrodynamic (EHD) extraction force. Onset of the instability, predicted by the linear instability analysis, is compared with the experimental data and it is shown that the transition between the EHD-enhanced and EHDsuppressed convective boiling heat transfer is located near the annular-to-mist transition region.
