Аннотация

Recently, studies of the mechanistic modeling for the interfacial area concentration (IAC) are being performed using multi-group transport equations bysom e investigators. For the mechanistic modeling, the transport phenomena of IAC are main concerns to be investigated and experimental database for the IAC are needed for their evaluation and assessment.
In this study, experiment data for the IAC are produced and its transport phenomena along the flow path are investigated byusi ng the five-sensor conductivitypro be in an air-water test loop with a flow channel diameter of 0.08m, which correspond to bubblyand slug flow in the flow regime map. The IAC transport phenomena are examined bym easuring the IAC at vertical three positions: L/D=12.2, 42.2, 100.7. In this study, the bubbles are categorized into two groups based on their size, and IAC and void fraction data of each group are generated respectively. Since the IAC data are classified into two groups, the data could be directly used to model the IAC bytwo group interfacial area transport equations.
