Resumo

The thermal conductivity of perovskite oxides REAlO3 (REAO) thin films of different thickness in unit cells (u.c.) grown on SrTiO3 (STO) substrates have been studied by time-domain thermoreflectance (TDTR) measurement. The results show a thickness dependent thermal conductivity on the REAO thin films when the thickness of the epitaxially REAO is below 80 u.c. In addition, comparing the results of 10 u.c. LaAlO3 (LaAO) and NdAlO3 (NdAO), heterostructures with a two-dimensional electron gas (2DEG) where the REAO deposited on a TiO2-terminated STO surface have higher interfacial thermal conductance than the ones that were deposited on a SrO-terminated surface. The phonon-electron coupling coefficient of 10 u.c. LaAO/STO and NdAO/STO can be extrapolated. Our results indicate that 2DEG can enhance interfacial thermal transport in REAO/STO heterostructures.
