Resumo

Experiments were performed in a 3×3 rod bundle to investigate the local convective heat transfer characteristics. The experiments were conducted at pressure of 0.3MPa, with inlet temperature from 50 to 80°C. The heat flux was from 10 to 270kW/m2, Re is from 500 to 27000. Experimental results are compared with the conventional convective heat transfer correlations. The predictions of these correlations deviate from the experimental results especially when the Re is lower than 4000. A new correlation based on the experimental results is given and the correlation can well predict the experimental results within a deviation of 12% in the whole range of Re. Additionally, heat transfer temperature differences between the heating wall and bulk flow is found to have a non-negligible influence on heat transfer coefficient, the heat transfer coefficient under higher heat transfer temperature difference owns a higher heat transfer coefficient, especially under low Re conditions.
