Resumo

An inverse method is employed to determine the conditions in a rectangular enclosure that will provide both the specified radiative energy flux and temperature distributions in the design surface of the enclosure. The remaining surfaces are adiabatic, and the enclosure is filled with a gray absorbing, emitting, non-scattering medium, whose temperature and volumetric heat generation distributions are unknown. The heat transfer is considered to be purely radiative, being evaluated by the zoning method. The resulting system of linear equations is ill-posed, and is solved by truncated singular method decomposition, TSVD.
