Resumo

Thermohydraulic characteristics of capillary tubes made of stainless steel type material are investigated experimentally. The tubes were eguipped by regular narrowings made by rolling instrument with an annular lugs of circular profile on its surface. The brief description of the experimental installation is presented. The study results are plotted as a Nusselt number and pressure drop coefficient versus Reynolds number. All nondimensional numbers are calculated by average mass flow velocity and inner diameter of the tube at the places; the narrowinqs are absent. Utilization of considered tubes where permits to reduce heat exchanger surface area by 40%. For this case the accompanying growth of frontal surface area is no more then 15%.

The comparison of the results with the other authors data is presented.
