Resumo

An original mathematical model is developed of the methane pyrolysis process during its filtering through a porous medium, with taking into account the micro-and macroporosity of the porous skeleton particles. The calculation results are compared with experimental data. Criteria correlations between dimensionless parameters are derived, namely, between the degree of metamorphism of the porous skeleton, the structure parameter, and the dimensionless time, which enable one to treat, within a unified approach, heterogeneous reactions of different types such as addition (for example, pyrolysis of methane) and decomposition (gasification). The values of characteristic times of the processes of pyrolysis of methane and gasification of anthracite, calculated by the suggested criteria correlations, are compared with experimental data.
