Quadrupole thermal modeling of a pyramidal multilayer multiblock

Resumo

The thermal quadrupole method allows a quasi-analytical and rapid modelling of conductive transfer through parallelepipedic blocks made of layers of same lateral extension. The principle of this spectral method based on analytical integral transforms is first developed in two and three dimensions, then an extension to the multibloc multilayer case using matrices of spectrum conversion is proposed. The method suits to solving heat transfer through power electronic components. It is tested on a complex IGBT module here.
