HEAT TRANSFER IN LAMINAR MAGNETOHYDRODYNAMIC BOUNDARY LAYERS ON CONTINUOUS SURFACES
Resumo
The flow and heat transfer characteristics in the boundary layer of a continuous moving surface in a magnetic field are studied analytically. This flow situation occurs when a continuous flat plate moves into a conducting fluid with a magnetic field perpendicular to the direction of motion. A similar condition occurs behind a shock wave moving into a stationary fluid in shock tube magnetohydrodynamic experiments.
