THE STUDY ON THE MECHANISM OF THE PULSE TUBE COOLER BY MOLECULAR DYNAMICS METHOD

Pulse tube cooler is widely used in nowadays, but the microcosmic mechanism research about the thermodynamic process of gas flow which in the pulse tube is lacked. In this paper, the molecular dynamics simulation method is used to establish the tube model and simulate the data of basic tube. Inflation and deflation methods are used to simulate the expansion and compression processes inside the basic pulse tube. By analyzing the result, the axial data of pressure, density, speed and temperature changing by time are obtained. In the compression process, the temperature in closed end is higher and the opened end is lower, contrary to the expansion process. After superposing the temperature cycle, it is easy to dissipate heat from hot end to environment and refrigerate in cold end.
