EXPERIMENT AND ANALYSIS OF EFFECTIVE THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY OF A COPPER FOAM/PARAFFIN COMPOSITE PHASE CHANGE MATERIAL
要約
Thermally enhanced composite phase change materials have broad application prospects for heat transfer and heat storage. In this article, a Host Disk thermal conductivity meter was used to measure the effective thermal conductivity of a copper foam/paraffin composite phase change material differing in porosity and pore size. Combining with industrial CT scanning, the influence of porosity, pore size and the internal voids of copper ribs on the thermal conductivity of the composite material was analyzed. It is found that the effective thermal conductivity decreased linearly with increasing porosity, and that the internal voids of copper ribs were an important factor that affected the thermal conductivity. Under a certain porosity, pore
size had little effect on the effective thermal conductivity of the composites. Pore size and pore morphology mainly affected the overall internal heat transfer and the soaking temperature by changing the effective contact area inside the composites.
