要約

In the past decades, the lattice Boltzmann (LB) method has been developed significantly due to its remarkable advantages compared with conventional CFD method for mesoscale simulation as a particle-based discrete simulation method. Meanwhile it has been applied in a broad range of application area, such as single/multiphase flows, phase change, rarefied gas flows, etc. Among all the members of the LB community, the pseudopotential LB model and the phase-field LB model have shown striking superiority in multiphase flows due to their achievements in large density ratio and relatively high Reynolds numbers. In this present work, a comprehensive review of the development and applications of LB on phase change heat transfer is completed. The review work is focused on the most popular pseudopotential LB models and the phase-field LB models, revealing the common features of each model. Meanwhile the most recent thermal LB models and their applications in boiling heat transfer are provided. In addition, some new findings of the pseudopotential LB model from our recent investigations and future prospect of the phase change LB models are included, which give new research orientations for researchers to improve the models to be more applicable for multiphase phase flow simulation and phase change heat transfer.
