要約

Heat transfer augumentation was studied by applying a two-phase bubbly flow impinging jet with a confining wall facing to a heated surface which was immersed in the depth of the liquid. Three different types of jet nozzle design were tested and compared. A significant increase of heat transfer rate (by a factor of 2 ~ 4) was observed over the whole heated area. Turbulence measurements indicated that the heat transfer enhancement was brought about by a change in local turbulence structure induced by bubble agitation effect and also by heat conduction through a thin liquid film formed between bubbles and the heated surface.
