An assessment of the prediction of dryout conditions and post-dryout heat transfer has been performed based on experiments in a wide range of flow parameters. In the study a computer code using a two-fluid formulation was applied. The heat transfer calculation was originally based on the heat transfer package of RELAP5/Modl computer code. During the assessment the heat transfer models were modified in order to take into account the non-equilibrium effects on post-dryout regime. Dryout correlations suitable for large parameter ranges were searched. The models of EPRI, Smolin, Bezrukov and one combination of correlations in RELAP5/Modl gave acceptable predictions, while most of the other compared correlations were less satisfactory.
