要約

The present paper deals with the study of the hydrodynamical and thermal interaction of two spherical particles in a uniform viscous flow. The solutions of these problems are obtained by numerical integration of the Navier-Stokes equations and the energy equation. The numerical method of fractional steps [1] is used with the central difference scheme for approximation of the connective terms.
The investigated problems are (1) hydrodynamical characteristics of the flow past two spherical particles for Reynolds numbers up to 100,(2) the themperature distribution around the spheres for a constant themperature boundary conditions over the solid surfaces, and (3) the themperature distribution around the particles for the Neumann boundary conditions over the spheres.
The calculations are made for Prandtl number 6 and for the Biot number 1 and 10.
