Study of morphological instability during crystal growth using AHP method
要約
Solidification of germanium doped with antimony using AHP(Axial Heat flux close to the Phase interface) crystal growth method (Golyshev and Gonik, 1990) with growth velocity and temperature gradients changing dynamically during the process of crystal growth is investigated by comparison experimental and numerical
results. The numerical modelling was performed using the KARMA1 package (Friazinov and Marchenko, 1997) modified for the AHP method. Using experimental data on the boundary conditions for the temperature and for the concentration transient distributions of temperature gradients, concentration in the melt and crystal and interface velocity are obtained. The constitutional supercooling criterion values (Voronkov, 1972, Flemings, 1974) for different conditions of solidifications used in the two experiments are compared. Investigations
showed that transition from one regime to another during the experiment can substantially influence morphological stability of the solid/liquid interface.
