要約

Analytical models are formulated describing steady and transient heat and mass transfer in one-dimensional systems experiencing an arbitrary number of phase changes with constant, but distinct, properties in each phase. A steady state solution for the analytical model is derived and two methods of solution for the transient, n phase case are briefly discussed. Numerical results are presented for a water-ice-vapor system which is subjected to changes of phase. Some of the numerical predictions were subsequently verified by experimental results.
