要約

A critical heat flux correlation, which had recently been developed for Freon-12 and water coolant flows in uniformly heated round tube, has been compared with an extensive amount of experimental data for pressurised water (more than 5000 data sets at pressures up to 20 MPa) and with experimental data for liquid nitrogen. Modifications to the original correlation have improved its generality and it is shown to be capable of representing critical heat flux data for different fluids and over a wide range of conditions. It is demonstrated that, with some limitations which may be associated with high pressure loss conditions, the correlation can be used for predictions of critical heat flux conditions.
