要約

Large differences are found in boiling heat transfer coefficients on wires, different diameters of tubes and flat plates under similar conditions. In this work saturated R113 is boiled in these various geometrical arrangements.
For tubes with diameters from 6 to 30mm the heat transfer coefficient falls with increasing diameter as in cross-flow convection. Our tube boiling data and those in the literature are correlated by

Nutb = C Retb2/3 where Retb = qD/Δhv µf
where C = 150 for organics and refrigerants and 100 for water.
Theoretical analysis covers the influence of D on the departure angle and the local heat transfer under sliding bubbles which are seen to flow around the tube.
