要約

Radiative heat transfer in an anisotropically scattering planar medium is investigated. Molecular gas radiation is described by the wide band absorption and a single wide band is considered. The photon path length approach using mean photon path lengths is employed to determine the radiative heat transfer in an absorbing and scattering medium. The anisotropic scattering effects are included with the asymmetry factor through scaling relations. The results show significant anisotropic effects for transmission particularly at moderate scattering optical depths and scattering abledos. The reflection results indicate strong anisotropic effects for moderate scattering optical depths and large albedos. The emission results show less overall effects of anisotropic scattering than either of the other quantities.
