要約

This paper presents experimental results on heat transfer in wake flow of a cylinder with and without surface mass injection. From the observations of the flow patterns behind the cylinder, it is shown in the Reynolds number range of 3×103 to 3×1O4that the separation flow does not retouch the surface, and the fluid behind the cylinder flows reversely from the rear stagnation point to the separation point with periodic fluctuation. According to the measurements of the reverse flow velocity, it is shown that the reverse flow is remarkably intense and the local heat transfer coefficients on the rear half surface of the cylinder are comparable to those on the front surface. The heat transfer coefficients are correlated by an experimental formula.
