Résumé

The most effective way to protect the vane form the high temperature is to use efficient cooling technology. For the internal convective cooling of the vane, the steady state air flow is the traditional coolant. However, its cooling performance is not satisfied to some extent. Furthermore, it brings high temperature gradient and thermal stresses due to the uneven cooling effectiveness distribution. It has been proved that, the pulsating air flow has better cooling performance than the steady flow due to its more complicated heat and mass transfer characteristics. In this study, the flow and heat transfer of pulsating air flow in a heated rectangular duct with rib turbulators is studied numerically. The influence of the flow parameters such as the oscillating frequency and the oscillating amlitude on the cooling effectiveness is studied. The heat transfer enhancement mechanism of the pulsating flow will be analyzed and discussed.
