Résumé

Carbon black filled natural rubber materials are widely used in rubber industry, and the study on the effect of carbon black properties to the thermal conductivity of the rubber has great significance for the thermal conductivity optimization. In this article, the thermal conductivity of carbon black filled natural rubber was studied, where the heat conduction mechanism was explored based on the properties of carbon black and the distribution of carbon black in rubber. The key filler characteristics which affect thermal conductivity were proposed, and the Agari thermal conductivity model was modified to predict thermal conductivity of the materials using the filler characteristics. The predicted results and experimental values are in good agreement.
