Résumé

Time-dependent flow temperature fields at stepwise change in channel wall heat generation are studied. By extrapolating the temperature data in viscous (thermal) sublayer to y→0 the instantaneous values of flow temperature gradient at the wall (heat flux) and the surface temperature are measured. The heat transfer coefficients in transient process are compared with their stationary values. The experimental setup and data acquisition technique allo-wed us to carry out measurements at substantially higher rates of unsteadiness than those in the previous works.
Experimental transient heat transfer data agree satisfactorily with the results of calculations performed on the assumption that the eddy diffusivity of heat does not depend on the thermal unsteadiness.
