Résumé

The thermally-dominated growth of an isolated spherical vapor bubble under flashing conditions is analyzed by extending the Zwick procedure [1] for a constant-pressure bubble. Assuming that the saturation temperature decreases linearly with time, a parametric differential equation for the bubble radius is found which takes into account the decrease of the vapor density with time. Approximate upper and lower bounds for the bubble growth are then deduced. A least-squares analytical solution is also obtained by comparison with the exact numerical solution. Comparisons are made with the Zwick and Jones-Zuber results.
