Résumé

This study presents the experimental results of evaporation heat transfer in the thin liquid film flowing over the outside of a horizontal tubes under vacuum condition. The bundle contained eighty identical plain copper-nickel tubes with the outer diameter 19.05 mm and the length 1,000 mm. The tubes were aligned triangularly in a staggered array of four twenty-rowed columns with the pitch 26.0 mm. The tubes were heated by the steam from a boiler and the entrained vapor through a steam jet ejector. The feed water was preheated in the condenser. The feed water temperature was held fixed at 57°C and supplied to liquid feeders located above the bundle. Heat transfer characteristics on each heated tube were made clear in a range of film Reynolds number from 90 to 400, and the measured data are presented in a form of correlations. Also the proposed equation is compared to results of previous investigations.
