Résumé

Experimental studies were conducted for plain silicon and aluminum surfaces at pool boiling and spray cooling conditions at low spray mass flux. Enhanced silicon surfaces are investigated at spray cooling for their heat transfer improvement. The qualitative results for a single droplet evaporating on plain and enhanced silicon surface are also presented.
At pool boiling, the effects of dissolved gas and of surface material on heat transfer are minimal. On the other hand, at spray cooling, the aluminum gives better heat transfer than silicon due to its better wettability. On plain silicon surface, the heat transfer improved at increased spray mass flux. The surface enhancement induces more effective liquid spreading and film formation, which the spray heat transfer is increased.
