Résumé

A method to measure a thermal diffusivity of liquid by stepwise heating of a thin layer was developed. The value is obtained, on the basis of a transient theory, from a recorded temperature rise at the bottom plane of a thin liquid layer after stepwise heating downward from an upper plate of the layer. The time required for the measurement is several seconds. Good agreements were obtained between the measured values and the known values on water and ethylalcohol. The measurement on kerosene, lubricating oil and a mixture of dibenzyl benzenes were made in the region 30 to 200 °C.
