Résumé

Some experiment on the mass transfer has been conducted under the constant base-pressure coefficient which achieved by placing the splitter plate with changing chord. The mass transfer in separated region is hardly influenced by the vortex shedding frequency and the state of the wake in which individual vortices caused by the concentration of a shear-layer vorticity are transported downstream as the Karman vortex street. The separated region of a cylinder is divided by the difference of the local mass transfer character into two zones, the former between separation point and about 120° and the latter between 120° and 180°, The 2/3 exponent law of Reynolds number is not affected by placing the splitter plate.
