Résumé

The transition and film boiling heat transfer in a steady water flow is correlated on the basis of three important phenomena, namely, thermodynamic non-equilibrium, partial nucleate boiling and partial stable film boiling. The actual quality in a non-equilibrium flow is used in the correlation, while the degree of non-equilibrium was determined from the measured deviation of the superheat steam heat transfer behavior in the actual quality from the fictitious equilibrium quality. The agreement between the predictions of this correlation and the existing data is very good.
